Interwoven Identities: A Childhood Journey

This art piece captures the essence of a child’s early journey, embodying the concepts of Belonging, Being, and Becoming. 

Belonging reflects a community’s interconnectedness and collaborative spirit through the symbol of a beehive, emphasising the importance of working together and mutual reliance. The theme of Being is depicted by a blossoming leaf, symbolising growth, mindfulness, and the embrace of life’s complexities and joys. Meanwhile, the notion of Becoming is evoked through a sun, representing new beginnings, transformation, and the continual process of children’s growth and learning. 

The inclusion of rocks further emphasises the connection to the land, providing a sense of stability and a solid foundation for the community.
